LatPro Releases 2009 Job Fair Series Schedule

Following a highly attended and successful 2008 career fair schedule, diversity job board www.LatPro.com, in association with www.NSHP.org, is set to meet the needs of even more jobseekers and companies searching for professional candidates with language and cultural skills in 2009. The 2009 schedule was developed based on jobseeker and employer demographics as well as past attendee feedback.
2009 LatPro Career Fair Schedule
* February 19, 2009 - Westin Galleria, Houston, TX
* March 19, 2009 - Navy Pier (Lakeview Terrace), Chicago, IL
* April 16, 2009 - Metropolitan Pavilion, New York, NY
* May 21, 2009 - Trinity Center at Trinity College, Washington, D.C.
* June 4, 2009 - Long Beach Convention Center, Los Angeles, CA
* August 27, 2009 - To Be Determined, Atlanta, GA
* September 24, 2009 - Trinity Center at Trinity College, Washington, D.C.
* October 22, 2009 - Dallas Convention Center, Dallas, TX
Admission is free for all job seekers. Professional dress required.
During the 2009 events, job seekers will have the opportunity to meet fellow Latino professionals, network with prominent Hispanic organizations and interview with top companies seeking employees with diverse backgrounds and language skills.
Attending organizations will meet hundreds of bilingual and multicultural professional candidates in a format that maximizes recruiting efficiency.
“With a challenging economic environment, maintaining a diverse workforce is more critical now than ever in order to reach all segments of the population with products and services. We at LatPro are confident in putting forth an equal number of job fairs in 2009 as we did in 2008,” said LatPro Vice President of Sales, Rob Steward. “Employers have to be selective in where they go for their essential hiring, and with diversity a priority when filling key roles, LatPro career fairs are the perfect place to find highly qualified Hispanic and bilingual candidates across the country.”
During the 2008 season, LatPro/NSHP career fairs were attended by over 6,000 job seekers and more than 200 diversity-conscious employers, including Accenture, AT&T, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, General Electric, Michelin, Pfizer, and the US Postal Service.
Response from employers and jobseekers was so positive that LatPro documented testimonials in a video designed to prepare future participants for the exciting day that they can expect at a LatPro/NSHP career fair.
