Broadcast Media Job Fair

Published September 7th, 2008

Employers from over 30 media groups comprising nearly 100 media outlets attended, making it one of the largest dedicated broadcast media job fairs in the schools history. Participants included CBS Radio, Metro Networks, Clear Channel Radio, ABC-TV, Gray Television, FOX-TV and notable independent stations like Relevant Radio. These were just a few named among many other local, regional, and national media outlets.

The event also promoted the new Ohio and Illinois Centers for Broadcasting Job Placement website: www.funjobsonair.com. The new site allows graduates to upload their audio and video demos directly, along with resumes and other supporting materials, enabling employers to directly and discretely search OICB graduate talent as well as post their job openings. This innovative job placement tool is the first of its kind among broadcast media career schools, and will serve to improve the job search process for graduates and employers alike.
