Published June 24th, 2008
This year, the Maltese will be able to enjoy an experience for all the family at 150th edition of the Malta International Trade Fair which will be held for the first time at the Malta Fairs and Convention Centre (MFCC).
Described by the organisers as a “commercial village”, this year’s edition of the trade fair caters to the needs of the family, with an entertainment area for children, for the family as a whole and different types of cuisine for those who find walking around the stands a hungry business.
Fairs and Exhibition Manager Godfrey Gatt said that the trade fair was always associated with the family. “As a result, this year’s fair will focus more on giving the family the full experience of an outing while allowing them to walk around the over 200 stalls in fair.”
Fairs and Exhibition Business Developer director Reuben Caruana explained that this year’s change of location is a new experience, which should attract more people to visit the fair.
Parking will be less of a problem compared to when the fair was held in Naxxar and there are over 2,000 parking spaces available, explained Police Superintendent Ray Zammit.
Furthermore, he said, parking is completely for free and there are clear signs for the public.
The fair will start on Friday 27 June until Sunday 6 July.
Opening hours are from 6pm until 10.30pm between Monday to Thursday and until 11pm between Friday and Sunday. www.independent.com.mt
