Stockholm International Fairs have landed another major conference. In 2010 the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) will return to Stockholm for the fifth time - a welcome reunion that will benefit the city’s tourist industry to the tune of SEK 620 million.
“I am immensely proud to welcome back Europe’s largest conference. I’m also delighted that our business can bring in additional millions for Stockholm’s tourist industry,” said Tom Beyer, CEO of Stockholm International Fairs.
The ESC with its 25,000 delegates is not the only organization opting for a return to Stockholm International Fairs. The European Association for the Study of Diabetes (EASD) will be back for the second time in September 2010. Since the EASD’s last Stockholm conference, the organization has more than doubled its membership and now comprises 15,000 delegates.
“The decision by these major conferences to return to Stockholm, and to Stockholm International Fairs, is proof of our ability to deliver a high-quality product and service,” noted Mr Beyer.
