13th Annual International Asian Art Fair To Move

Published December 19th, 2007

Anna and Brian Haughton, Directors of Haughton International Fairs, have announced that the 13th annual International Asian Art Fair will move in 2008 to 583 Park Avenue and will now lead Asia Week in New York by taking place from March 15-19, 2008.

The fair was previously scheduled for March 28-31 at the Park Avenue Armory but has been rescheduled to coincide with the New York Asian art auctions and to avoid the Easter holiday (March 21-24). “The 2008 spring calendar was difficult to navigate because of the unusually early Easter holiday and the early April Asian art auctions in Hong Kong” commented Brian Haughton, adding: “We felt it important to coincide with the auctions and the only other option was holding the fair over Easter weekend. This was problematic for our exhibitors and their clients as it is widely considered to be a family holiday. We are delighted to have been approached by 583 Park Avenue – just two blocks south of the Armory – which is a splendid landmark New York building, befitting an international art event of this caliber.”
