The State Bank of India (SBI) will hold two property fairs titled ‘SBI Home Loan Mahotsav’ from October 28 to 30.

The bank would provide concessional rate of interest for loans above five years and up to 20 years, in addition to concession on processing fees, SBI’s Chief General Manager (Bengal circle) Ashok Mukund told reporters here on Wednesday.

The bank would also reduce margin requirement on the project cost for home loans.

Mukund said spot-in-principle sanctions would be issued by the bank based on income and residence proof.

He said that all in-principle sanctions issued at the fair would remain valid for 30 days from the date of offer.

Mukund said the fairs were expected to generate loan proposals worth Rs 500 crore.
