UTSA to offer financial aid information fairs
Published February 14th, 2006
This month, Financial Aid Awareness Month, UTSA will host two financial aid information fairs — Feb. 20 at the 1604 Campus and Feb. 21 for the first time at the Downtown Campus. The fairs are an excellent opportunity to learn more about financial aid and how it works.
The theme of the fairs is “Hollywood.” There will be free food, games, door prizes and a “Financial Aid Idol” contest in which the winners can win scholarships up to $500.
At the fairs, representatives from the UTSA Office of Financial Aid will be on hand to help applicants and their parents to complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). Laptops will be available to submit FAFSAs.
Applicants and their families should bring copies of their 2005 income taxes in order for representatives to help them with the FAFSA and answer questions.
Watch UTSA Today for more details on the financial aid information fairs.
