Turkey To Be Promoted at 115 Tourism Fairs In 2006

Turkey will be promoted in 115 tourism fairs that will be held in 48 countries this year, Turkey’s Anadolu news agency reported on Sunday.

Tourism and Culture Ministry officials told that Turkey’s touristic, historic and cultural values would be promoted effectively in the fairs which would increase Turkey’s share in international tourism market.

Among those fairs, seven of them are big fairs, it reported quoting the officials as saying, listing them as ”Utrecht Tourism Fair (held last week), Madrid Fitur Tourism Fair (Jan. 25-29), Bit Milano Tourism Fair (Feb. 18-21), ITB Berlin Fair (8-12 March), Mitt Moscow Tourism Fair (March 22-25), Arabian Travel Market (May 2-5) and WTM London Fair (Nov).

Meanwhile 28 companies from Turkey joined the 37th International Boat Show in Dusseldorf, Germany.
