Builth Wells fair great sucess

Published November 29th, 2005

Suchwas the success and popularity of the international antiques and collectors fair of Wales at the Royal Welsh showground Builth Wells.

That when the organisers closed the fair over the PA system and thanked the exhibitors and visitors for their support.

The halls burst into rapturous applause.

A record crowd through the gate pleased the organisers who work long hours day and night for the success of this fair.

What’s more the visitors, who came in their thousands from all parts of the UK were prepared to spend in a big way.

As I witnessed the sale of a Victorian extending table in excess of £5,000.

Exhibitors reported excellent sales in most departments.

In particular it was good to see so much sold furniture at the collection point.

The fair is held twice a year in the spring and the autumn.

The next fair at Builth takes place on April 29 and 30, 2006.
